See You Around Lyrics and Music by Ali Gilmore © 2012

Got half your stuff stowed in my basement

And your mailbox well, I’ve got a key

So, when I see you packing things

And tying em all up with string

Well, it don’t worry me

Rumors are flying

While everyone is trying

To figure out why you’d want to leave

Well, I get the reasons that there’s

Just so many seasons to roam

Before something in your heart calls you home

They can cry cuz you’re leaving town

But it ain’t gonna bring me down

Cuz I know I’ll see you around

I figured out how many books to sell

To pay for the flights and the hotel

So, it probably means

That I’ll see you next spring

When I’m looking and feeling really well

You’ll be all settled in then

To your little hotel on the glen

Where I’ll have my wedding in

To the bloke you set me up with on a whim

They can cry cuz you’re leaving town

But it ain’t gonna bring me down

Cuz I know I’ll see you around

Whispered into your dog’s ear

That I’d see him by this time again next year

And he licked my face all about

Showing me he had no doubt

So thank you for all that you have given

Of your hearts, your places and your kind

You’re our six degrees of separation

Forever in our hearts and in our minds

It takes something so much wider than the ocean

To break the ties of our devotion

So, I don’t know quite where they got the notion

That there was any end in sight

It’s nothing more than a transatlantic flight

So they can cry cuz you’re leaving town

But I’m not gonna let it bring me down

Oh they can cry cuz you’re leaving town

But I won’t let it bring me down

Cuz I know I’ll see you around.  I’ll See you around.  I know I’ll see you around.
